L-Moments and calibration based variance estimators under double stratified random sampling scheme: an application of covid-19 pandemic

چکیده
The presence of extreme events gives rise to outrageous results regarding population parameters and their estimates using traditional moments. Traditional moments are usually influenced by observations. In this paper, we propose some new calibration estimators under L-Moments scheme for variance which is one the most important parameters. Some suitable constraints double stratified random sampling also defined these estimators. Our proposed based on relatively more robust in values. empirical efficiency calculated through simulation. Covid-19 pandemic data from January 22, 2020, August 23, considered simulation study.

Calibration approach estimators in stratified sampling
Calibration is commonly used in survey sampling to include auxiliary information to increase the precision of the estimates of population parameter. In this paper, we newly propose various calibration approach ratio estimators and derive the estimator of the variance of the calibration approach ratio estimators in stratified sampling. r 2006 Elsevier B.V. متن کاملRatio estimators for the population variance in simple and stratified random sampling
We propose some ratio-type variance estimators using ratio estimators for the population mean in literature. We obtain mean square error (MSE) equations of proposed estimators and show that proposed estimators are more efficient than the traditional ratio estimator, suggested by [C.T. متن کاملAn Efficient Class of Chain Estimators of Population Variance under Sub-sampling Scheme
For estimating the population variance S y of study variable y, a class of chain estimators of S y has been proposed in the presence of two auxiliary variables x and z by using known information on population mean and variance of the second auxiliary variable z. In this proposed class, the second auxiliary variable z is directly highly correlated with the first auxiliary variable x, whereas the...
متن کاملVariance-Optimal Offline and Streaming Stratified Random Sampling
Stratified random sampling (SRS) is a fundamental sampling technique that provides accurate estimates for aggregate queries using a small size sample, and has been used widely for approximate query processing. A key question in SRS is how to partition a target sample size among different strata. While Neyman allocation provides a solution that minimizes the variance of an estimate using this sa...
